Before partnering with Doneverse, Jessica ran her fishing tackle eCommerce brand, which also supplies wholesale accounts at tackle stores in Florida and California, almost entirely on her own. She handled marketing, metrics, order fulfillment, website optimization, product photography, video, email marketing, bookkeeping, and inventory coordination with her supplier in China, all while raising a toddler at home. She had already spent a year and a half in a marketing mentorship program that taught her website optimization, brand messaging, and ad and email skills, and had briefly hired a team to run her Meta ads, but she was still the one who had to execute everything herself. The business could only move as fast as she personally could work, and she estimated she was only getting through about half of what it actually needed each week.
Everything shifted once her doer started auditing her product pages, building a clear wireframe for what each page needed, and taking over email marketing, including the graphics Jessica used to design herself.
She stopped writing and designing her own campaigns, and a long list of website updates started happening behind the scenes instead of sitting on her own to-do list. Organic social media, which had mostly been her husband posting fishing videos and reposting customer catches with no real plan behind it, became something scheduled and monitored in Meta Business Suite and tied to actual promotions. With someone able to focus on the work for a full day instead of the thirty minutes here and an hour there Jessica could manage between a toddler’s nap and the plumbing business phone ringing, the quality of what got done improved too.
Behind the scenes, Doneverse gave Jessica more than a single hire. When her first doer left unexpectedly after about ninety days, her coaches found her a replacement within the same week, so she had almost no downtime running the business alone again. Her current doer went through Doer University training to get up to speed on email marketing and website work, while Jessica had her own coaches to go to with questions about her offers, her website, and business decisions her old marketing mentorship never fully covered. That support went both ways, and it meant Jessica always had someone to ask when she got stuck.
The clearest proof came during a hospital emergency. When Jessica was hospitalized for the birth of her second child and then had to go back in for an emergency hemorrhage, her doer kept the business running, including testing the website to confirm discounts and checkout were working when sales slowed for a day. Alongside that, the business posted 30% revenue growth year to date, and organic social media, previously just her husband’s fishing videos and customer reposts, became something scheduled and tied to actual promotions. Jessica no longer creates her own email graphics, writes her own campaigns, or handles website updates herself, and she says she could not run the promotions she’s running now without the help.
